Driver safety training in Safenwil: A day full of insights and driving fun
We had the opportunity to take part in an exciting and instructive driver safety training course at the Driving Center Safenwil. The aim of this training was to improve the driving skills of our employees, increase their safety on the road and learn valuable techniques for everyday work on the road. A special focus was placed on the driving challenges during winter.

After a brief welcome and introduction to the topic, we first devoted ourselves to the various theory units, which presented important basics for safe driving in daily use on the road. Not only was knowledge shared, but dangerous myths and half-truths were also debunked. With expertise and humor, we were once again shown how dangerous wrong behavior in road traffic can be.

In the practical applications, our employees were then able to put the knowledge they had gained into practice and train under the instructor's watchful eye and with important tips. Here is a brief insight into the training program:
- Driving dynamics: We learned how to better assess critical driving situations and how to control the vehicle at the limit.
- Emergency braking: Effective emergency braking must be experienced and practised. Many were surprised at how much physical effort is required to come to a safe stop at high speeds, especially on slippery roads.
- Swerving: Recognizing hazards in good time and safely swerving out of the way - a skill that can only be acquired through targeted practice.
- Load securing: Securing goods correctly is crucial for us to avoid accidents and transport customer materials without damage. We were given valuable tips on how to secure loads efficiently and safely, as well as an overview of the legal requirements.
- Ecological driving: The right driving technique not only protects the environment, but also the company's finances. The course showed how fuel consumption and vehicle wear can be significantly reduced by driving with foresight and using a few small tricks.
Conclusion
The day at the Safenwil Driving Center was a complete success. Our employees were not only able to expand their knowledge, but also test the limits of their driving technique in a safe environment. The newly acquired skills will help them to drive more safely, responsibly and ecologically. This experience shows once again how important continuous training in road safety is - an aspect that should not be neglected in the logistics industry. Especially in winter, when slippery roads increase the risks, such training is essential.
