More sustainable step by step - a review of our progress
The topic of sustainability has gained enormous importance in our company in recent years. The years 2023 and 2024 in particular marked a turning point: together with myclimate and our dedicated team, we have made significant progress on the road to sustainable corporate governance. It quickly became clear that the key to success lies in actively and intensively involving our employees in this process.
Employees as the key to climate transformation
Involving our employees is not just a strategic decision - it is essential to drive the transformation towards sustainability. When people are actively involved in processes, they not only feel valued, but also empowered to change even their own habits.
In organizations, we encounter two central levels - the emissions we need to reduce and the solutions we need to do so. The crucial question is - how do we integrate these solutions into our organization?
This is where employees come into play. They are the experts for the processes that take place in a company on a daily basis. By involving them, realistic and effective strategies can be developed that not only advance our sustainability goals, but also have a deeper impact.

In 2023, we laid an important foundation stone - we started working with myclimate. This partnership has not only given us valuable insights into our own sustainability potential, but also paved the way for concrete measures and new goals.
Themyclimatecollaboration was strengthened when we held four intensive workshops in 2024. Sustainability in companies requires not only technical solutions, but also the active involvement of employees. In these four workshops, we have set ourselves ambitious goals to drive the transformation forward holistically.

Climate education enables our team to promote resource-conserving behavior and develop innovative solutions. At the same time, they experience a stronger sense of personal responsibility and commitment, which forms the basis for long-term success.
A clear strategic direction is needed to ensure that climate protection is not just a goal but a reality. The workshops helped in overcoming obstacles regarding the implementation and promoted an understanding of the "what", "why" and "how" of our climate strategy.

Measurement of our CO₂ footprint and certification process
Another highlight was the measurement of our carbon footprint. We are currently in the certification process and plan to measure our progress again in 2025. Our goal is to further reduce emissions by implementing the ideas from the workshops.
